What a good monthly community management plan includes
Posting is only one part of it. Here is what a monthly community management plan should include, and what to ask your agency for.

Many brands hire community management expecting “posts on Instagram”. Posting matters, but on its own it rarely moves the needle. A good plan connects what you publish with what your business needs, and shows you each month whether it is working.
1. A short strategy before the first post
Who you want to reach, which networks they actually use, what you want them to do (message you, visit the site, book, buy) and the tone your brand speaks in. One page is enough, but it has to exist.
2. A monthly content calendar
Every post planned in advance: format, copy, visuals and publishing date. A calendar lets you see the balance between educational, promotional and community content, and avoids the last-minute post that says nothing.
3. Your approval before anything goes live
You know your business better than anyone. A good process lets you approve, comment or ask for changes on each post without endless email threads, and keeps a record of every decision.
4. Replies and conversations
Comments and direct messages are often where sales start. Agree on response times, what the team can answer on its own and when a conversation must go to you or your sales team.
5. A report you can actually read
Reach and engagement, explained in plain language.
Which posts worked and why.
Messages and leads that came from social media.
What will change next month.
What to ask before you hire
Ask to see an example calendar and an example report, how approvals work and who replies to your customers. If the answers are vague, the service probably is too.
